Overview
Founded in 627 B.C. by Greeks from Corfu and Corinth, Durres (ancient Epidamnus) is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Albania and once called “the Admirable City” by Greek and Roman authors. This tour takes you through centuries of history — from ancient ruins and Byzantine walls to Venetian fortifications — all in one fascinating coastal city.

Itinerary

1. 🕘 09:00 AM – Meeting Point:
   Pickup from your hotel and departure toward Durres city center.
2. 🏛️ Visit the Amphitheater of Durres
   Marvel at one of the largest and most impressive amphitheaters in the Balkans, built in the 2nd century AD.
3. 🏺 Visit the Archaeological Museum
   Discover ancient artifacts, mosaics, and statues that tell the story of Durres’ rich Greco-Roman heritage.
4. 🏛️ Visit the Roman Forum
   See the remains of the ancient public square, once the vibrant heart of political and social life.
5. 🏰 Visit the Venetian Tower and Outer Walls
   Walk along the medieval city walls and admire the 15th-century Venetian Tower, offering great views of the old town.
6. 🍽️ Lunch Time in Durres
