Departure: 06:00 AM
Meeting Point: Avni Rustemi Square, New Bazaar, Tirana, Albania

Route: Tirana – Gjirokastra – Libohova – Polican – Skore – Papingu Peak – Return

Highlights:

1. Departure from Tirana early in the morning with our comfortable minibus.
2. Short coffee break near Tepelena, overlooking the Vjosa River Valley.
3. Arrival in Gjirokastra, Albania’s stone city (UNESCO Heritage Site). Brief city view while passing toward Libohova.
4. Continue the scenic drive through Gryka e Selckës Canyon — a spectacular natural passage surrounded by cliffs and wild forests.
5. Stop at Polican village, a small and charming settlement at the foot of Nemerçkë Mountain.
6. Begin the hike toward Maja e Papingut. The trail winds through alpine meadows, rocky slopes, and breathtaking ridges.
7. Reach the summit of Papingu Peak (2,482 m) — enjoy a panoramic view over southern Albania, including Mount Tomorr, Gramos, and the Vjosa River.
8. Picnic lunch break at the top (participants should bring their own food/snacks).
9. Descent back to Polican village and time to rest at a local guesthouse with tea or mountain coffee.
10. Return journey toward Tirana in the late afternoon.
11. Arrival in Tirana around 21:00 PM.
