🏞️ Theth National Park – The Heart of the Albanian Alps

Hidden deep within the Albanian Alps, Theth National Park is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of northern Albania. Established in 1966 and covering an area of 26.3 km², Theth is a paradise of untouched wilderness — home to towering peaks, crystal rivers, dense forests, and iconic landmarks such as the Grunas Waterfall and the Blue Eye of Theth.

Visitors can explore the unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, including traditional stone houses, old churches, and the legendary hospitality of the mountain people. Every step in Theth feels like a journey through a living postcard of Albania’s pure alpine soul.

1. Departure – 05:00 AM
   Meeting point: at your hotel in Tirana or Durrës. Early departure toward the north of Albania.
2. Visit Shkodra City
   Short stop in Shkodra — the gateway to the Albanian Alps, known for its rich history and vibrant culture.
3. Stop at Boga Village
   Enjoy the stunning mountain landscapes along the winding road to Boga, surrounded by alpine meadows and forests.
4. Explore Theth National Park & Theth Church
   Discover the charm of Theth, with its iconic church, stone towers, and traditional architecture set against dramatic mountain scenery.
5. Visit Grunas Waterfall
   Marvel at the Grunas Waterfall, one of Albania’s most famous natural wonders — a perfect photo and rest stop.
6. Traditional Lunch 
   Enjoy a delicious traditional northern meal surrounded by pristine mountain views.
7. Hike to the Blue Eye of Theth (2 Hours)
   Take an unforgettable hike through the lush valley leading to the magical Blue Eye, a turquoise spring hidden among rocks and greenery.
8. Return to Start Point
   Depart in the afternoon, arriving back at your hotel around 22:00 PM.
